weeknotes 6 (more snow more quilts)
I missed a week! That's okay. I do things imperfectly these days.
I keep playing around with the structure of how I write weeknotes, which is feels good to me as I try to find a rhythm

- Very Important People - the Mother Hot Dog episode
- Heated Rivalry - I don't quite know why I, a person who gets deeply uncomfortable with all sex scenes, started this show, but I'm halfway through the second episode and I am committed now.
- This Friendship Material podcast episode about being a recovering know-it-all hit home
Something about the 7 inches of ice on the ground made me feel sappy about Florida. Twen's SeaStar video has just been on a loop and the video makes me miss St. Augustine something fierce.
social
Took a walk/hike in my neighborhood with friends and the big dog. The sun came out enough to melt the ice back into something at least slushy enough to walk onto. We've all been cooped up for weeks below freezing so the 40*s felt transcendent.
Art night was canceled due to a big fire downtown. This has been a bad year for fires in Baltimore. I spent a lot of time in touch with family as we navigate some crises and losses.
projects
- weatherizing the house - this is the big one for the upcoming month. Our bills are astronomical and we're trying to work on insulating the house better.
- quilting - I found a clothing by the pound thrift store with tons of duvet covers with great fabric. I made two and a half squares today.
- breakfast nook - I am fixing the broken bench and adding in a table with a really nice top I got from Ikea's as-is section.
- I made snickerdoodle cookies without looking at how many the recipe yielded. I made too many, we ate them all, no regrets. Easy easy recipe.
- I bought an Innioasis Y1 mp3 player and I am changing themes and downloading music. I am bummed I didn't do this before Bandcamp Friday! I am also figuring out how to use Nicotine+ for a few things.
